Charles H. "Bud" Vogelmeier

ST. LOUISVILLE: Funeral service for Charles H. "Bud" Vogelmeier will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Rocky Fork Church of Christ, 12969 Techniglas Road, N.E., Newark with Evangelists Steve Rich, Corey Campbell and Scott Bryant presiding. Interment will follow at Rocky Fork Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives Friday 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the church. Masonic Service 8:00 P.M. Friday

Mr. Vogelmeier, age 71, passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 23, 2012. He was born May 10, 1941 in Newark, Ohio to his parents Henry and Myrtle (Graham) Vogelmeier. He had a long history of community involvement and public service. His employment included Kroger, Rockwell Int'l and the City Of Heath. He retired from the City of Heath in 1995 after 35 years of employment. He was 38 year member of New Home Lodge #338 F.&A.M. and a two-time Past-Master of his blue lodge; 28 year member of Teheran Grotto and member of Eastern Stars. He was an active member of Wilkin Run Grange. For eight years he served as a Trustee for Mary Ann Twp. and was a Charter Member of the Mary Ann Twp. Fire Department. He was a paramedic for both Mary Ann Twp and City of Heath. He was an outdoorsman and was life long member of Death Wind Long Rifle and Licking Valley FFA Alumni. He is remembered by his family as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Alyce Jeanne (Yoder) Vogelmeier; children Michael (Randi) Gayheart of St. Louisville; Carol Vogelmeier of Sidney, OH, Sandi (Chris) Laughlin of St. Louisville, Neil Vogelmeier of Newark, Bobbi Willey of Fallsburg and Tom (Lori) Vogelmeier of St. Louisville; 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews and many many friends.

In addition to his parents, his son Brad Vogelmeier and sister Sue Vannest preceded Charlie in death.
