NEWARK: A funeral service for Chester L. Freeze, 62, of Newark, will be held at 2PM, Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985. 21st Street in Newark. Bruce Hissong will officiate. Friends and family may call from 6-8PM on Monday and two hours prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Freeze passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012, at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Center. He was born October 6, 1950, in Pike County, Ohio, a son of the late Chester L. and Violet (Perkins) Freeze.

He was a family man who deeply loved and was committed to his wife and family. Chester was an amazing father, grandfather and great grandfather. His love of family reached beyond his own home as he and his wife served as foster parents. Those who knew him will also remember his passion to his blue dodge truck.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sandra (Crothers) Freeze, whom he married October 24, 1972; three grandchildren, Felicia Green (Cody Pattison), Chelsey Green, Ben Green all of Newark; a great granddaughter, Miracle Rose; his brothers and sister, Darrell (Debbie) Freeze of Frazeysburg, Connie Albright of Newark, Donald (Laura) Freeze of Newark, Wayne Freeze of Newark, Tony Nichols of Newark; a sister in law, Betty Freeze of Rudolph, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Chestina Freeze-Green in 2009; and brothers David and Dale Freeze.
