Dwight E. Keckley

SIDNEY: Dwight E. Keckley 86, of 721 Lynn St. Sidney, Ohio passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 9:50 P.M. at The Pavilion in Sidney.

He was born on January 3, 1927 in Licking County Ohio, the son of the late Harvey L. and May (Callan) Keckley.

On May 28, 1948 he married Virginia M. Rush who preceded him in death on June 24, 2007.

He is survived by one son Michael Keckley of Sidney; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harvey Keckley of Mt. Vernon, OH and Vernon Keckley of Hebron, OH; two sisters, Mrs. Jim (Ruth) Elliott of Newark, OH. and Edna White of Johnstown, OH.

One daughter, Patricia preceded him in death.

Dwight was an engineer for the Dayton Power & Light Co., retiring in 1986 after 47 years of service. Dwight was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Sidney American Legion Post 217 and a member of Sidney First United Methodist Church.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 1:30 P.M. from the Cromes Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave., with Rev. Barbara Staley officiating. Burial with full military honors by Sidney American Legion Post 217 will be held at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney, Ohio. There will be no public calling hours prior to the funeral service.
