Frank A. "Red" Brewer
HEATH: A funeral service for Frank A. "Red" Brewer, 87, of Heath, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with Pastor Tom Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery, where military honors will be observed by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.
Mr. Brewer, founder of Dor-Mar Heating and Air Conditioning, passed away July 7, 2012, at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Care Center. He was born May 17, 1925, in Cleveland, to the late Clarence W. and Dorothy E. (Tanner) Brewer.
He was a WWII Navy Veteran and an avid woodworker. He was lifetime member of the Elks, VFW, Eagles, Moose, and Moose Legionnaire.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothea J. (Cook) Brewer; children, Luann Fleming of Heath and Gregory (Jill) Brewer of Newark; brother, Harold Brewer of Newark; sisters, Margaret Freese of FL, Vera Davis of Heath and Nancy (Lee) Gantt of Thornville; daughter-in-laws, Gail Brewer of Newark and Deb Brewer of Heath; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, Michael William Brewer and F. Randy Brewer; brothers, Clyde, David and Richard, and daughter-in-law, Sandra K Brewer.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark.
