Gloria "Bootie" Helphrey Long

REYNOLDSBURG: Gloria "Bootie" Helphrey Long, of Reynoldsburg, OH, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, July 19, 2013.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, nana, and friend. Born in Newark, OH on Oct. 28, 1943 to Dick Helphrey (deceased) and Alice Roberts Helphrey of Winchester, KY, she was a 1961 graduate of Newark High School, long-time member of World Harvest Church and a graduate of World Harvest Bible Institute.
Gloria is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Richard L. Long; son, Brad Long; daughter, Jennifer (Chuck) Long Bauer, of Baltimore, Ohio. She is the cherished grandma of Zac Long, Brooke (Josh Eisele) Long, Alex Long, Avery Long, Brandon (Ashley) Bauer, Jesi (Blake Benjamin) Bauer, Nick Bauer; great-grandson, Parker Eisele. Also survived by sister, Patti (Mike) Dawson, of Union, Washington; sisters-in-law, Nancie Hall, Pattie Long, and Ellie Giles, all of Newark, OH, Joyce Wright of Port Washington, OH, and Carol Phenegar, of Sebastian, FL; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Her family will receive friends Thursday, July 25, from 5 to 7:30pm, with a memorial to follow at 7:30pm, at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main St., Reynoldsburg. Graveside Homecoming service Friday at 10:00am at Newark Memorial Gardens.
