NEWARK: A service celebrating the life of Hannah Lea Gattrell, age 16, of Newark, will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7, at Spring Hills Baptist Church, 1820 Newark-Granville Road, Granville with Pastor Tom Pound officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery.

Our sweet angel went to be with our precious Lord Jesus on September 2, 2011. God's loving arms are embracing her as she revels her beautiful smile and sparkling blue eyes as she enters His holy presence. Hannah was born March 8, 1995 in Columbus, Ohio to Jerry and Rachel (Boggs) Gattrell.

Hannah was an active member at Spring Hills Baptist Church in Granville. She volunteered at the "Cafe" at the church and The LookUp Center in Newark. Hannah was an honorable student and was attending school at CTEC/Utica High School where she was a student of the Dental Assistant program. She enjoyed playing volleyball, softball and track.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, Kyle; a sister Kayla; a nephew, Koltn Harriman; paternal grandparents, William (Bonnie) Gattrell; maternal grandparents, Rocky Boggs and Diane (James) Jirles; paternal great-grandmother, Laura Gattrell; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends.

Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, at the church in the Fireside Room. Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, P.O. Box 430, Newark, OH 43058.
