Hazel Mae (Patrick) Arick

NEWARK: A graveside service for Hazel Mae (Patrick) Arick, age 89, of Newark, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 6, at the Newark Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Mark Belcher and Bishop T.L. Kirk officiating.

Mrs. Arick passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at her home. She was born November 28, 1922 in Hilliard, Ohio to the late William T. and Viola (Salyers) Patrick.

Mrs. Arick was a homemaker and a member of the Standard Apostolic Resting Place in Newark. She enjoyed knitting and word search puzzles.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandra L. Miller and Connie S. Schlotzhauer, both of Newark; grandchildren, Catrina, Tate, Debbie, Pat and Rick; great-grandchildren, Abigail, Richie and Eli; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Betty Hoffer, Patricia Munyan and Thelma Brewer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Raymond Arick in 1979; a son, Harold Richard Arick; a great-grandson, Isaac; a sister, Mary Alice Speakman; a brother, William LeRoy Patrick; and sons-in-law, Leonard David Miller and Richard Lee Schlotzhauer.

The Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
