NASHPORT: Isabelle Minnich, 97, of Nashport, Ohio died Saturday morning, December 31, 2016 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio.

Born June 13, 1919 in Zanesville she was a daughter of the late Joseph D. McCann, Sr. and Viola B. (Cross) McCann. Mrs. Minnich was a 1937 graduate of Nashport High School and a graduate of Meredith Business College of Zanesville. She was retired from Mutual Federal Savings and Loan Company where she served as an assistant treasurer. She was a life-long member of Nashport-Irville United Methodist Church; was past president of the U. M. W; was a member of the choir and held two district offices. Isabelle was a 75 year member of the Order of Eastern Star and was currently a member of Muskingum Chapter #485. She was Past Worthy Matron of Treasure Chapter #576 at Nashport; was Past Grand Page of the Grand Chapter in Cleveland and was Past President of District #16, OES.

Surviving are two nephews, Douglas (Maxine) McCann of Beaver, Ohio and Larry McCann of Nashport; many cousins and good friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. "Hap" Minnich whom she married February 25, 1961 and who died November 16, 2001 and a brother and sister in-law, Joseph D. McCann, Jr. and Helen McCann.

Calling hours will be 4pm to 6pm Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.

Muskingum Chapter #485, O. E. S. will conduct Eastern Star services a 6pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the funeral home with Pastor Arland King officiating. Burial will be in Irville Cemetery.
