Ja'Naziah Marie Harris

Newark: On Friday August 24, 2012 The Lord came to lift 3-year-old Ja'Naziah Marie Harris, born Dec. 9, 2008 from her mothers arms after her long hard battle with AML Leukemia. Although only the age of 3, Nae Nae was an inspiration to so many and touched the heart and souls of everyone who had laid eyes on her. She was given the gift of knowledge and wisdom beyond her years and the ability to love stronger and deeper then anyone. A smile that would light up the sky at even a midnight hour, a voice of song that would lift the spirit of even the most wounded hearts.

As we surrounded her with loving arms we now realize it was her love, courage and strength that we needed to keep pushing on. She reminded everyone not to cry because things would be ok. This could go on forever, the examples of all the things she was here on earth in the short time we were blessed in having her. We need now to hold on to her memories and let her impact prove to be so grateful for all of us. Hold on to our children just a little stronger, kiss them a little longer, praise them for all that they do and do not take on moment for granted.

One wish Nae Nae had was to go to the ocean to find the mermaids and see the whales and dolphins, yet that wish did not come. But on July 20th 2012, sweet Nae Nae told her mother, "Mama, I don't want to go to the hospital anymore, I want to go to heaven and see Jesus". My sweet baby, God has now granted you a gift mommy never could and it is the greatest gift of all, to walk on golden streets holding the hand of our Savior.

Ja'Naziah was preceded in death by her great-grandpa, Martin Caldwell of Howard, OH and great-grandma, Mable Moye Harris of Tennille, GA.

She left behind her loving mother, Tameika Harris, sweet little sister, ShaNiah Harris both of Newark, OH; dedicated and loving "Gamma", Angela Harris of Newark, OH; loving "Pepa", Willie (Denise) Harris of Marion, OH; special aunt, Tyeisha Harris of Columbus, OH; maternal great-grandma "Mamma" Linda Caldwell of Howard, OH; and great-grandpa, John Harris of Marion, OH. She also leaves behind many great aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends and loved ones.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark, OH.
