Joyce M. Stalling
Newark: A funeral service for Joyce M. Stalling, 84, of Newark, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with Pastor Ben Foulk officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery in New Lexington.
Joyce, a retired records clerk for the Newark City Schools, moved to Heaven on August 26, 2012, from the Sterling House. She was born March 13, 1928, in Newark, to the late Dale and Clara (Cullum) Miller.
Joyce loved to read, play cards, and watch movies. She also enjoyed listening to country music, feeding the birds and conversations with friends and family.
She is survived by her children, Kathy (Bob) Cooperrider of Thornville, Leslie (Steve) Newton of Birmingham, AL, Sherry (Lonnie) Liming of Utica and Patrick (Lisa) Stalling of Nashport; grandchildren, Sally (Kevin) Miller, Terry Cooperrider, Karen (Dennis) Bradley, Brenda Wood, Michael (Tammee) Loughner, Renee (Eric) Edwards, Mindi Loughner, Jay (April) Loughner, and Amie (Chuck) Stewart; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and sister-in-laws, Gwen Miller of Lillian, AL, Almeada (Ed) Bevard of Newark, and Bertha Stalling of West Mansfield, OH.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis J. Stalling; brother, Gene Miller, and grandson, Micheal Johnson, Jr.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark.
