Kenneth Dirk Redman
Frazeysburg - Kenneth Dirk Redman, 64, of Frazeysburg passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018 at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Zanesville in 1954 to the late Dale T. Redman and Beverly F. (Ashcraft) Redman.
A life-long resident of Perryton, Ohio, Dirk graduated in 1972 from Tri-Valley High School in Dresden. He was owner and operator of K&P Timber for nearly 40 years and life member of Perryton United Methodist Church. A great outdoorsman, Dirk especially enjoyed logging and fishing in his spare time.
Surviving are his dedicated and loving wife of 38 years, Phyllis (Moran) Davis-Redman; daughter, Kendra Nycole Beck, (Clint); step-son, Mark Davis(Jennifer); mother, Beverly, F. Redman; siblings, Shawn Redman, Kris Redman (Bobbi), Anne Grover (Butch), and Devan Sceurman, (Greg); grandchildren, Jacob, Jessica, Jillian, Paisley, Connor, and Cole; nephew, Kyle Redman and hosts of others; best friend and caregiver, Sherry Baker; and friends, Bill Moran, and Nate, Scooter, and Briar Parrill.
In addition to his father, Dirk was preceded in death by his step-son, Michael Davis; paternal grandparents, William & Louise Redman; maternal grandparents, Kenneth V. Ashcraft, and Lenarose Ashcraft-Roberts and Glenn D. Roberts; and beloved Boxer, Yarder.
A funeral service celebrating Dirk's life will be held at 7 P.M. on Monday, February 19, 2018 at Perryton United Methodist Church, 6139 Licking Valley Rd., Frazeysburg with Dr. Brian Straub officiating. Calling hours will be from 5 - 7 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held at a later date in Perryton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Hospice of Central Ohio or Perryton United Methodist Church. Arrangements are in the care of McPEEK-HOEKSTRA FUNERAL HOME in Granville. Online condolences may be expressed at www.mcpeekhoekstra.com.
