Larry Gerald Fowler Sr.

NEWARK: A funeral service for Larry Gerald Fowler Sr. will be held 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st Street, Newark where the family will receive friends and relatives beginning at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday.

Mr. Fowler, age 65, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 13, 2012 at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born December 1, 1946 in Nitro, West Virginia to his late parents Joseph and Geraldine (Barker) Fowler. Larry spent many years as an independent truck driver. His family and friends remember him as a man who believed in doing the right thing following a Christian tradition. He is remembered by his family as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and brother.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Jewell Fowler; children Marsha (Denny) Hill of Newark, Julia (Adam Anderson) Runyan of Buffalo, MO, Susan Fowler of Nashport, Larry (Jean) Fowler II of Newark, Christopher Fowler of Newark, Adam Fowler of Newark, Jason (Jodi Stewart) Binckley of West Jefferson, OH and Joseph Spence of London, OH.; grandchildren Mark, Shannon, Brianna, Daniel, Amanda, Jennifer, Stevie, Zachary, Elizabeth, Tiffanie, Ayrica, Alycia, Scott, D.J., Shad, Christopher, Kurt, Jonathan, Rebecca, Ryan and Dakota; great grandchildren Layden, Aiden, Alyanna, Timothy, Jordan, Brendan, Sophia, Corinthia, Aryahna, Ashlynn, Cora, Baby Noah; ; sisters and brothers Donald (Irene) Fowler of Gallopalis Ferry, WVA, Joan Shamblin of Liberty, WVA, Nancy Fowler of Nitro, WVA, Evelyn (Dorrance) Stover of Gallopalis Ferry, WVA, Joyce Parson of Crown City, OH, Bonnie (David) Benger of Cibalo, TX, Joseph "Butch" (Charlotte) Fowler of Liberty, WVA and Albert (Brenda) Fowler of Red House, WVA as well as many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly and warmed his heart to pick on them all; special mention of his best girl, Sheba.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Larry's name may be given to Licking Memorial Hospital' s Oncology Department.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Larry was a very special guy and will always be remembered. It is always a shame that there is not enough time to visit with your loved ones and friends as much as we would like but just keep him in your heart and he will always be there.
