BUCKEYE LAKE: A funeral service, celebrating the life of Linda Ann Leavitt Parkinson, 69, of Buckeye Lake, will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in the Thornville home of The HOSKINSON-Schoedinger Funeral & Cremation Service, with burial to follow at Zion Ridge Cemetery, Thornville. Linda went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 9, 2012, in Newark, following an extended illness.

She was born January 1, 1943 in Columbus, the daughter of the late Elbert and Marguerite (Perry) Leavitt. She was a graduate of Thornville H.S., and was a homemaker. She enjoyed serving her church at the food pantry and her granddaughters sporting events.

She was a long and dedicated member of the St John's Lutheran Church on Linnville Pike, until her health prevented her from attending.

She is survived by her loving family, Andrew Parkinson of Hebron, Lori (Mace) Voehringer of Newark, Scott (Lisa) Parkinson of Somerset; granddaughters, Emily and Haley; sisters, Sharon Womax, Carol Cochran, Sue Yontz; brother, Donnie Leavitt; many nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, September 11, 2012 from 6-8 P.M. and on Wednesday morning from 10-11 A.M., at the funeral home, 56 S. Main St. in Thornville, where an on-line guest register is available at www.hoskinsonfuneral.com.
