NEWARK: A Private Mass of Christian Burial for Lyda Joy Cantlin, 82, of Newark will be held at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament with Fr. Jonathan Wilson officiating. Inurnment services will be held at a later date in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Lyda, a parishioner of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, died at Arlington Care Center on Tuesday, January 24, 2012. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 17, 1929 to the late Harry and Velma (Dingeldey) Roth.
Lyda worked for the Boy Scouts of America, Licking County Job & Family Services, and as a local realtor. She enjoyed sewing and greatly cherished the time she spent with her family and their children.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Barbara Cantlin of Newark; her daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Keith Kuhn of Newark; her grandchildren and their spouses, Stephanie Cantlin, Kelli and Timothy McVay, Kristin and Chad Gilligan, and Kevin and Melissa Kuhn; her great-grandchildren, Alivia McKenzie, Cameron Leedale, Mackenzie Leedale, Emerson McVay, Mason McVay, Taylor Gilligan, and Lorien Kuhn; her brothers, Henry (Tom) Roth of Wallingford, Connecticut, and Terry Roth of Casselberry, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Lyda was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William V. Cantlin.
