Marcia Anne Booth

DELAWARE: A Mass of Christian Burial for Marcia Anne Booth, 86, of Delaware and formerly of Newark, will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 10:00 A.M., Monday, June 11, 2012, with Fr. Jimmy Hatfield officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Newark.

Marcia, a 1947 graduate of The Ohio State University, died at the Sarah Moore Home in Delaware on Monday, June 4, 2012. She was born in Newark, Ohio on September 29, 1925 to the late Albert C. and Anne R. (Weiler) Gundlach.

Marcia was employed for many years by Newark City Schools where she worked as a social worker. She was a member of the Heisey Collectors of America and was one of the original docents at the Heisey Museum. In addition, Marcia enjoyed sewing and was a talented artist.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Billy C. Booth, of the home; her sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey Alan and Sharon Booth of Westerville, and Denton Lee and Bonita Booth of Glenn Allen, Virginia; her daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth Anne and Larry Marks of Poquoson, Virginia, and Alicia Louise and Brian Wilson of Delaware; her six grandchildren; Brad Booth of Washington D.C., Ryan (Stacey) Booth of Richmond, Virginia, Jessica Booth of Westerville, Capt. Alan Marks, Scott AFB, Illinois, Lee Marks of Poquoson, and Amber Wilson of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Marcia was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph and Ronald Gundlach.

Friends and family may call from 4-7 P.M., Sunday, June 10, 2012 at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, where a Vigil Service will be held at 6:30 P.M.

The family requests any memorials be made to Catholic Social Services, 575 B Industrial Parkway, Heath, Ohio 43056. The family would also like to thank the administration and staff of the Sarah Moore Home for their dedicated care.
