Mary Suzanne "Sue" Lewis

NEWARK: A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Suzanne "Sue" Lewis, 79, of Newark, will be held at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 27, 2012 with Msgr. Paul Enke officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Sue, a parishioner of St. Edward Catholic Church, died at the Selma Markowitz Care Center of Hospice of Central Ohio on Wednesday, August 22, 2012. She was born in Springfield, Ohio on August 8, 1933 to the late John E. and Davidine (Berthuame) O'Neill.

Sue worked as the secretary for many years in the family business, Jutlew Company, which was founded by her husband in 1959.

She was a graduate of St. Francis de Sales High School and attended St. Mary's of the Springs College. She was a member of the Twentieth Century Club, Moundbuilders Country Club, and enjoyed gardening and completing crossword puzzles. For many years Sue was an avid OSU Football fan and Newark Catholic sports enthusiast, and volunteered at the NCAA Lenten Fish Frys.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Kim and Dale Churchill of Mesa, Arizona; Karen and Mark Ernst of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, John Lewis of Newark, and Kevin and Babette Lewis of Newark; her 9 awesome grandchildren, Cody, Collin and Hunter Churchill; Caitlin and Gunnar Ernst; Thomas Lewis; and Nicole, Jud, and Cameron Lewis; her sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and R. Daniel Evans of Newark; her brother and sister-in-law, J. Mike and Sue O'Neill of Ellsworth, Michigan; brother-in-law, Richard Wales of Evergreen, Colorado; and her extended caring family of nieces and nephews and their children.

In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her husband and soul-mate, Judson T. Lewis; and her sister, Sally Wales.

Friends and family may call from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M., Sunday, August 26, 2012 at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, where a Vigil Service will be held at 3:30 P.M.
