Mildred F. DiBlasio

HEATH: Funeral services for Mildred "Millie" Frances DiBlasio, 79, of Heath will be held at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark; 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 2, 2012 with Pastor Deb Kautz officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Mrs. DiBlasio died at the Flint Ridge Care Center on Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Millie, born November 30, 1932, was the daughter of the late Margaret (Reid) Thompson and Russell L. Delancey and was raised by her late stepfather, William C. Thompson.

She was employed by Owens Corning, Newark, and various downtown businesses including, Cato Dress Shop, W.T. Grants, and Best Jewelers. Together with her husband, Millie also spent many years selling items at the different flea markets. She was a past Arch Druidess and a life member of Rosina Circle 14 of the Newark Druids, member and past president of the Newark Fiberglas Owenettes, and charter member of the Heath Eagles and Sons of Italy Rinascimento Lodge.

Millie is survived by her husband of 59 years, Carl DiBlasio, of the home; her daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Mike Padgett of Newark, Carol and Charles Franks of Heath, Carla and Mike Barrett of Newark, and Tina and Mike McMannis of Groveport; her son, William DiBlasio of Newark; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, including her special great-grandson Trenton Berger; her brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Jean Delancey of Heath; her sisters-in-law, Mary Delancey of Frazeysburg, Mary Jane O'Neal, Frances and Theresa DiBlasio, all of Newark; brother-in-law Mike DiBlasio of Heath; and many nieces and nephews. Millie is also survived by her many dear friends that she has played cards with over the years.

In addition to her parents, Millie was preceded in death by her brothers; Richard and Robert Delancey; her sister, Margaret "Margie" Delancey; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sarah, Louise, and Louella DiBlasio, Christian, Albert, and Nicholas DiBlasio, and Paul O'Neal; and one nephew, Leslie Delancey.

Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M., Friday, June 1, 2012, where the Newark Druids will conduct a service at 7:00 P.M.

The family requests that memorials be made to St. Leonard Catholic Church, 56 Dorsey Mill Road, Heath, Ohio 43056; or Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, PO Box 430, Newark, Ohio.
