Mom said not long after they moved to their new home and was in the midst of living in it as it was being built, that particular winter it was very cold and snowy. Your dad came to the house and was worried they did not have enough fire wood to stay warm and generously offered his own wood to help them get through the winter. Mom said both her and dad were so touched by his kindness!
