POWELL: Paul Edward Norris, age 82, of Powell, a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2012. Paul was born September 18, 1930 in Newark, Ohio to the late Howard & Grace (Seymour) Norris.

He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Howard, Jr., Donald and Robert Norris.

Paul is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty; two daughters, Cynthia (Andrew) Olesnanik, and Kimberly Norris; grandchildren, Katie (Matthew) Williams, Jessie

(Kory) Slater; Hannah, Natalie and Benjamin Weber; sister, Lois Tower; and other relatives and many friends.

Paul was a Retired Major from the U.S. Air Force, serving in Vietnam and holder of the Bronze Star and Air Medal. He was also retired from Franklin Federal Savings and Loan. Paul was a Past Master, and served as Secretary of Humboldt Lodge #476, F. & A.M. for 13 years.

Paul was also a member of the 32nd Degree Masons, Valley of Columbus A.A.S.R., Mt. Vernon Commandery #1, K.T., Aladdin Shriners; the Retired Officers Club, Editor of MOAA newsletter, and past member of the Ohio Real Estate Appraisers. He was also a Past President of the Kidney Foundation of Ohio and a longtime Mt Carmel Hospital volunteer.

A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL, 450 West Olentangy Street (Powell Road/ St. Rte. 750 / 1/4 mile east of Sawmill Parkway) , Powell, Ohio 43065 with Rev. Larry Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m.

A Masonic Service will be held 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family would like to express their heart-felt appreciation to Dr. Knoble of the Zangmeister Center, and the staff of Mt. Carmel West Palliative Care, for their care, concern and compassion extended to them in this difficult time.
