Reba Mae Holley
NEWARK: A celebration of life service for Reba Mae Holley, 69, of Newark, will be held Saturday, May 26, 2012, at the Newark Freewill Baptist Church at 1PM, with Pastor Matthew Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Knox County. Friends and family may call 4-8PM, Friday May 25, 2012 at the Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st Street in Newark.
Born September 16, 1942, in Hurricane, West Virginia, Mrs. Holley was a daughter of the late Jesse and Z. Marie (Duncan) Gillispie. She passed into the arms of the Lord and Savior Wednesday afternoon, May 23, 2012, at Riverside Hospital in Columbus. A friend to all, she loved her family and Savior. She was a member of the Newark Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving are her loving husband, Willie Holley; her beloved children, Teresa (John) Elliott, Dreama (Steve) Hughes, Hank Holley, Reba Joyce Holley (Bob Lott), all of Newark, Willie (Barb) Holley, Jr., of St. Louisville; a special child, Shannon Nelson of Newark; 17 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; a brother, Lawrence (Jessie) Gillispie of Hurricane, West Virginia; a sister, Betty (Charles) Bird of Granville and two very special caregivers, Lori and Karen.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Hank, Dempy, Homer and Bill and a granddaughter, Rosanna Hottinger.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Licking County Aging Program.
