Richard E. Berry

REYNOLDSBURG: Richard E. Berry, 86, of Reynoldsburg, OH passed away on August 5, 2012 at the Selma Markowitz Center in Newark. He was born on November 20, 1925 to the late Lewis and Ida (Wagner) Berry in Caywood, OH.

Private burial will be held at Beverly Cemetery in Beverly, OH.

He is survived and lovingly remembered by his daughter, Sharon (Jim) Michael; grandchildren, Sara Spradling and Trevor Michael; cousins, niece and nephews; one step-daughter and three step-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Clieta (Wilson) Berry; sisters, Margaret and Mildred; and his brother, George.

Mr. Berry served in the U.S. Army during WWII and the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant. He was awarded a WWII Victory Medal, European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with 2 bronze stars, Good Conduct Medal and AFLSA with 3 Bronze Stars. He was a member of the Newark American Legion Post 85 and VFW Post 1060. He was an avid golfer and will be sadly missed by his Willow Run family.
