Richard C. Drayton

NEWARK: A service of remembrance for Richard Charles Drayton will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st Street, Newark. The family will receive friends and relatives beginning at 10:00 A.M.

Mr. Drayton, age 65, passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 10, 2012. He was born August 9, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan to his parents Frank J. and Ruby H. (Preston) Drayton. Richard served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He lived in Taxco, Mexico for 30 years designing jewelry. Currently he was a full time student at Franklin University working towards a Master degree.

Richard is survived by his wife Adriana Drayton of Florida; his daughters Melanie Drayton of Newark, Donna (Sergio) Andrade of Florida and Ariana (David) Bravo of California; sister Donna (Ralph) Maltby of Granville as well as nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, brother Frank Drayton preceded Richard in death.

Rick lived life on his terms. His free spirit and excitement for life will live on through all who were lucky enough to know him.
