NEWARK: A funeral service for Richard E. Wilson, 82, of Newark, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with Pastor Tim Carr officiating. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Richard went to be with the Lord on March 17, 2013, at Arlington Care Center. He was born November 25, 1930, in Newark, to the late Frank Jay and Isabelle (Carpenter) Wilson.
He graduated from Newark Senior High School with the class of 1950. He then joined the Air Force and served three years mostly in Germany. After serving his country, he went to work at Kaiser Aluminum. He retired from there after 37 years. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, W. Jean (Burgess) Wilson; two sons, James E. (Gwen) Wilson of Newark and Andrew L. (Dena) Wilson of Brecksville. He was blessed with three grandsons, Matthew, Peter and Michael and two granddaughters, Skylar and Elizabeth.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, one hour prior to the funeral, at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark.
