Richard Weil Schiff
SARASOTA, FL: Richard Weil Schiff, 95, passed away July 19, 2012, in Sarasota, Florida.
The son of Hannah and Adolph Schiff, brother of Anthony and James Schiff, he was born on January 2, 1917, in Newark where he lived until 1990. Richard was a graduate of the Ohio State University's College of Business Administration and served in Patton's 6th Armored Division in World War II. After the war, he and his brother, Jim owned Mohlenpah's, in downtown Newark.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne Harriet Schiff; daughters, Margie (Sandy) Rosenholz and Beth Ann (Irv) Katz; grandchildren, Stacey (Steve) Rosenthal, David Rosenholz, and Julie (Steve) Schoper; and great grandson, Chase Schoper.
