JOHNSTOWN: Wannetta Hills Gould, 83, of Johnstown went to be with the Lord on July 3, 2012. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 6, 2012 at Johnstown Baptist Church, 450 S. Main St., Johnstown with the Rev. Dr. Dennis Schultz officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Fancher Cemetery in Westerville.
Wannetta was born March 16, 1929 to the late Homer and Annabelle (Grisham) Mann.
A 50+ year member of Concord Liberty Baptist Church, Wannetta loved singing hymns and was a caring person devoted to family. She was well-known for her homemade pies and rolls served at local restaurants, baking over 2500 in a year.
Surviving are her sons, George (Pam Rose) Hills, Jr., Steven (Pam) Hills, Jeffrey (Florine) Hills, and Jeremy (Cheryl) Hills; daughters Beverly (Gary) Chapman, and Martha Hills Whitt; step-daughter, Debbie (Danny) Thomas; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Alice Neibarger; and many family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by husbands, George E. Hills, Sr. and Harold M. Gould; daughter, Annabelle Hills Warren; step-daughter, Cherry Gould Ball; great-grandson, Russel Elerick, Jr.; sisters, Geneva Wright, Mary Jane Thompson, and Katherine Neibarger; brothers, Marcus, William, and Thomas Mann; half-sisters, Virginia Hughes, Viola Cary, and Margie Humphrey.
