Gerald D. Wills
GLENFORD: Gerald D. Wills, age 75, of Glenford, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014 at his home. He was born August 30, 1938 in Newark to the late Merrill E. and Blanche L. (Westbrook) Wills.
Mr. Wills worked for sixteen years at Kaiser Aluminum. He was the owner of Wills Construction for forty years, a company now operated by his son, Greg. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed stock car racing, farming and raising cattle. He dearly enjoyed his grandchildren.
Surviving are his four children, Jeff Wills, Greg (Lisa) Wills, Gary (Susan) Wills, all of Glenford and Carla Wills of Newark; former wife and caregiver, Mary E. Wills; nine grandchildren, Tiffany, Roberta, Gregory, Paige, Allison, Andrew, Audra, Jace and Azzure; and five great-grandchildren; brothers, Donald E. (Donna) Wills, Ralph S. (Patty) Wills, Arthur L. (Bobbi) Wills,, Richard D. (Donna) Wills and Ronald D. Wills; sisters, Virginia J. Snelling and Shirley A. Sprinkle; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings, Carl F. Wills, Robert G. Wills, Herbert E. Wills, Warren L. Wills, Hazel M. Rogers and Mary Jean Wills.
At his request no calling hours or service will be observed.
The Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
