NEWARK: A funeral service for Nancilou Hall will be held at 11am, Monday, February 24, 2014, at the Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home in Newark. Pastor Lisa Willey will officiate. Burial will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens. Friends and family may call from 1-4pm, on Sunday at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st Street.
Mrs. Hall, age 79, of Newark, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Center. Born January 9, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Greer and Dorothy (Frischen) Long. Her husband, Robert Hall, Sr., preceded her in death.
Nancie was a 1953 graduate of Newark High School. She had worked at Western Electric in Columbus for many years. She later retired from Sears-Roebuck in Heath, working primarily in the shoe department. Nancie enjoyed playing cards and bowling with her friends. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she faithfully supported various Newark school athletic programs, as well as youth athletic programs involving both her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Rob (Carol) Hall of Grove City, Scott (Vickie) Hall of Lancaster, Jeff Hall of Newark, Marianne Hall of Newark; grandchildren Sara, Nicholas, Katharine, Matthew, Maggie and Mitch Hall; her "Bonus" Grandchildren Jennifer (Joe), Joey, Abby, and Jacob Rudolph, and Robb and Owen McCormick; sisters Patricia Long of Newark, Carol Pheneger of Sebastian, Florida, Joyce Wright of Gnadenhutten, Ellie Giles of Newark; brother Richard Long of Reynoldsburg; sister-in-law Betty Powell of Columbus, brother-in-law Gail Hall of Newark and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Tom Frischen.
