William J. "Willie" Smith

GLENFORD: A funeral service for William J. "Willie" Smith, 58, of Glenford, will be held at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with Pastor Paul Martindale officiating. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark.

Willie spread his wings March 29, 2014, at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born March 15, 1956, in Newark, to Frances (Holton) Smith and the late Cecil Smith.

He was a dedicated father, biker and loyal man who enjoyed "turtling" and spending time with his grandchildren and those he considered friends.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Kimberly "Punkin" (Farson) Smith; sons, Travis (Tanaya) Smith of Little Texas and Jeremy "Lump" Farson of Glenford; grandchildren, Kaden "Sprocket", Aris, Breece, and Baby Travis Smith all of Newark, and brother, James "Jimmy Dude" Smith of Newark.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by numerous friends he considered family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, P.O. Box 430, Newark, Ohio 43058-0430.

Following the service there will be a potluck celebration at 2100 James Parkway Mid Ohio Industrial Park off Hebron Rd.
