Jack "Jay" Campbell, Jr.

NEWARK: Jack W. "Jay" Campbell, Jr., age 41, of Newark, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born November 17, 1972 in Zanesville.

Jay was a 1991 graduate of Tri Valley High School. He worked at the Croton Egg Farm until moving to Arizona to attend the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute. He obtained certification in advanced Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Repair. Jay worked at Kroger Warehouse in Delaware as a battery handler. He was a die-hard motorcycle rider, dirt track fan and most of all a family man.

He is survived by his wife, Carrie (Smart) Campbell; two children, Jordan M. and Alissa J. Campbell of the home; two step-sons, Zakkary and Kody Davis of Newark; step-granddaughter, Jadence Davis; step-brother, Jarrod (Shenan) Day of Newark; step-sister, Tasha (Sam) Baker of Newark; mother and step-father, Melody and Rick Day of Nashport; father and step-mother, Jack W. and Cindy Campbell Sr. of Nashport; many extended family members and close friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
