Ronald Lee Wyckoff

NEWARK: Funeral services for Ronald Lee Wyckoff, 78, of Newark, will be held at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 12 Noon, Saturday, May 31, 2014, with Fr. Michael Reis as celebrant. Military honors will be provided by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.

Ronald died at the Selma Markowitz Care Center of Hospice of Central Ohio on Wednesday, May 28, 2014. He was born in Newark on August 12, 1935 to the late Ernest and Leatha (Rogers) Wyckoff.

Ronald was a United States Navy Veteran having served on the USS Tarawa CV-40. He was retired from Rockwell International where he worked for many years as a supervisor and was a member of the Rockwell Retirees. Ronald also worked with the City of Heath as an Auxiliary Police volunteer.

Ronald is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia (Gagnon) Wyckoff, of the home; his daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Ronald Van Kirk of Butler, PA, Linda and Edward Richards of St. Louisville, and Lisa and Robert Vogel of Tiffin; his grandchildren, Ronald, Jill, Christopher, Michael, Elizabeth, and Nicholas; his great-grandchildren, Kaycie and Tanner; his sister, Joan Holler of North Point, Florida; his brothers-in-law, Daniel and Donna Gagnon of Andover, MA, and David and Donna Gagnon of Annapolis, MD; his good friends, Keith Charles, and Nick and Pat Abraham; many nieces and nephews; and his faithful dog companions, Misty and Ginger.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert, Dorothy, and Ernest; and his brother-in-law, Les Holler.

Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 10-12 Noon Saturday prior to the funeral service.
