NEWARK: A funeral service celebrating the life of Norma Lee Fausnaugh, age 79, of Newark, will be held at 12 Noon on Monday, July 14, at the Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral and Cremation Service with Pastor Joseph Hill officiating. Burial will take place in Newark Memorial Gardens.
Norma passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Arlington Care Center. She was born May 9, 1935 in Fayette County, Ohio to the late John Henry and Blanch (Heater) Chandler.
Norma met her late husband, Melvin Fausnaugh in Circleville and married him September 11, 1954. They spent 39 years together raising four children and making Newark there home. Norma was primarily a homemaker; she enjoyed sewing, crocheting and being a room mother at Maholm School.
She is survived by three children, Michael Lee Fausnaugh, Susan Johnson and Peggy (John) Hoffer; seven grandchildren, Sheena Marie Strong, Jonathan (Caitlin) Hoffer, Amanda Marie Hoffer, William Cole, Joseph Cole, Tonya Thomas and Brandie Parker; two sisters, Grace Lindsey and Mary June Moore; and a sister-in-law, Connie Chandler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Fausnaugh whom passed away May 24, 1994; a son, Wayne Fausnaugh; siblings Nellie (John) Moore, Ruth (Paul) Hill and Eddy Chandler; and a daughter-in-law, Sheryl Lynn Fausnaugh.
Friends may call from prior to the service from 10-12 Noon on Monday, at Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service, 59 North Fifth Street.
