WESTERVILLE: Marjorie Helen Brasington Arthur, 92, passed away on August 25, 2014, at the Rehabilitation and Health Care Center of Gahanna, Ohio. Marjorie was born on February 20, 1922, in Warren, PA. Marjorie was the wife of the late Allen Arthur. She was the daughter of the late David and Helen Brasington, and sister of the late John, Fred and Naomi. Marjorie was the beloved mother of Cynthia Lin (Kingso) of Westerville, OH, Ruthann Beck (Ronald) of Monroe, NC, and Lester (Kathryn) of Fort Mill, SC. She is also survived by a large and loving family including seven grandchildren: Dauna Burns (Gary) of Paris, IL, Sonya Thesing (David) of Westerville, OH, Karri Beck of Lewiston, NY, Wayne Lin (Elizabeth) of Westerville, OH, Richard Arthur (Emily) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Michael Arthur (Hailey) of Weddington, NC, and Anna Forrest (Jack) of Monroe, NC, and 18 great-grandchildren.

Marjorie lived for many years in Niagara Falls, NY, where she and her husband, Allen, raised their family. She later worked as a dental assistant. During these years, she was a scout leader and Sunday school teacher, and served as president of the Dental Assistants Association. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. While always keeping busy, Marjorie always found time to care for and nurture her growing family.

Marge was always an active church goer. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Niagara Falls for many years. After moving to Newark, OH, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was a Stephen Minister and a member of the Candle Lighters group. After moving to Westerville, Marge was a member of the Westerville Community United Church of Christ. During extended stays in Orlando, Florida, Marge attended the Spring of Life Methodist Church.

An enthusiastic traveler, Marge enjoyed trips to Europe, Asia, Hawaii, and Alaska, as well as a trip through the Panama Canal. She also enjoyed gardening, knitting, reading, and most especially, spending time with her family.

A memorial service will be held at the Resthaven Gardens Chapel at Acacia Park Cemetery, North Tonawanda, NY. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the , or to Mount Carmel Hospice, c/o Mount Carmel Foundation, 6150 E. Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43213-9924.
