COLUMBUS: Hazel Elizabeth Factor, age 85, passed away at her home on Tuesday, October 5, 2010.

She was born in Columbus on November 19, 1924, to the late Ralph and Emma Price, and she graduated from the Grant Hospital Nursing program in 1944. She worked for many years as a Registered Nurse, retiring as Assistant Administrator from Lutheran Senior City in 1986. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher. Her hobbies included knitting and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Anna Margaret Moore.
Hazel is survived by her husband of 62 years, John W. Factor; children, Deborah DeJong, William A. Factor, Stephen B. (Sheri) Factor, and Jeffrey S. (Cindy) Factor; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and two nieces.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, October 8, 2010, at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna. On Saturday, friends may call from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, and a funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Floyd Stolzenburg officiating. Interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
