Marjorie Grove Keller

HEATH: Marjorie Grove Keller died peacefully on Thursday morning, May 5, 2011 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio). She was born in Newark, Ohio on January 4, 1922 to the late Presley C. and Norma (Moose) Grove.
A graduate of Union Township High School, she also attended The Ohio State University. Marjorie worked for many years at the United Way of Licking County (then the United Appeal) and later was the director of the Newark Y.W.C.A. She then became office manager at Phelps Dodge Magnet Wire in Heath from which she retired.
Marjorie was a skilled and inspired quilter who left many beautiful examples of her work. For many years she was a member of the Newark Maennerchor and Damenchor with whom she traveled to Germany several times on singing tours.
She is survived by a son, Stephen (Anna) Keller; a daughter, Judith (Jerrold R.) Beall; a granddaughter, Christianne Beall; a step-grandaughter, Nancy Brennemann;by nieces Marjorie (David Lippert) Frazier, Nancy (Robert) White, and Kate (Mark) Tully; nephews, Thomas (Cynthia Barros) Frazier, Charles (Pamela) Frazier, George (Beverly) Grove, Douglas, Larry and Gregory Messick; brother-in-law, Richard Frazier and sister-in-law, Jean Messick. She also leaves behind her special friend, Betty Meyer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, H. Richard Keller; and by seven brothers and sisters, Harriet Frazier, John, Mary, Arthur, Rodger and George Grove, Pauline Hollar and Bette McKinley.
Calling hours were observed from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, at the Heath Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service, 1249 Hebron Road, Heath. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
The family suggests that instead of flowers, donations be made to Dawes Arboretum or Hospice of Central Ohio.
