Nial W. Ogle

NEWARK: A funeral service for Nial W. Ogle, 89, of Heath, will be held at 1:30PM, Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at The Church of God at God's Acres in Newark with Brother Roger Decker officiating. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens where the Licking County Veterans Alliance will perform Military Funeral Honors.

Mr. Ogle was born September 26, 1922, in New Lexington, a son of the late Carl and Jessie (Poling) Ogle and passed away Saturday morning, June 16, 2012, at his home surrounded by his loving family. A decorated WWII veteran, Mr. Ogle served in the US Army and was awarded the Bronze Star. For over 27 years Mr. Ogle had worked at Owens Corning Fiberglas in Newark and was a member of GMP Union Local #244. He was a member of The Church of God at God's Acres, where for over 45 years, he served as custodian for the church. Mr. Ogle was a devoted OSU Buckeyes fan.

Surviving are his loving wife, Charlotte (Beesler) Ogle, whom he married September 6, 1947; his children, Terry (Sue) Ogle of Pataskala, Darlene (Jim) Carr of Newark, Larry (Mary) Ogle of Newark; his beloved grandchildren, Missie (Dave) Woodard, Angie (Tim) Norris, Doug Ogle, J.C. (Leigh Ann) Carr, Rex Carr, Raymie (Lynnette) Carr, Jeff (Terina) Carr, Jaylene Carr, Wes Ogle, Gary (Cynthia) Ogle, Mistelle (Andy) Signor, Greg Ogle; 15 great grandchildren; three sisters, Delores (Jim) Touvell, Patty Prince, Alice Pound all of Newark and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Rosalie Downs, Rena Norton, Donna Andrews, Carl Wayne Ogle and Billy Ogle.

Friends may call 5-8PM, Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at the Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st Street. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Ogle family; envelopes will be available.
