NEWARK: A Mass of Christian Burial for Adrian Wollenberg, 82, of Newark, will be held at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 10:30 A.M., Friday, October 5, 2012 with Fr. Jonathan Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Mr. Wollenberg, a parishioner of St. Edward Catholic Church, died at the Selma Markowitz Care Center of Hospice of Central Ohio on Tuesday, October 2, 2012. He was born in New Lexingotn, Ohio on April 1, 1930 to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Bringardner) Wollenberg.

Adrian, a United States Army Korean War Veteran, worked with Local 189 Pipefitters Union and was also retired from the Owens Corning Tec Center where he was the pipefitter supervisor. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid golfer.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas and Judith Wollenberg of Springfield, Brian and Vicki Wollenberg of Granville, and Timothy and Heather Wollenberg of Granville; his daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Ted Williams of Thornville, and Linda and Daniel Caron of Granville; 14 grandchildren; his brothers and sister-in-law, Paul and Shirley Wollenberg, Rodney Wollenberg, all of Reynoldsburg, and Martin Wollenberg of Somerset; his sisters and brother-in-law, Rosemary Meikle of Newark, and Virginia and Don Pegago of Bradenton, Florida; many nieces and nephews, including Roy and Chris Shaffer; and special family friends, Conrad and Joyce Blowers.

In addition to his parents, Adrian was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Lillian Ann (Lenhart) Wollenberg; his brothers, Merlin, Neil, and Thomas; and his sisters, Dominica and Imogene.

Friends and family may call from 5-8 P.M., Thursday, October 4, 2012 at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark.
