NEWARK: Dolores Ann Brezina, 79, of Newark, OH passed away October 23, 2012 at the home of her loving son and daughter-in-law. Her family surrounded her in love.
She was born July 27, 1933 to the late William H. "Bud" and Mildred Wolfe of Newark, OH.
Dolores was a graduate of Newark High School and married the late Kenneth E. Hughes of Newark, OH in 1950.
She is survived by her three children, Janet (Trent) Ansel of Zephyrhills, FL, K. Thomas (Mary) Hughes of Newark, OH and Sherilyn (Ben) Kelly of Zephyrhills, FL.
"Dee" or "Low-ee" as fondly referred to by her family and friends was active as a young mother as VP of Newton School PTA, Den mother of her sons Cub Scouts, member of Twig 18 at Newark Hospital, member of Heath Garden Club, the Heath Methodist Church, a Bible study member and the Licking County Apartments Assoc.
She married the late George R. Brezina in 1980 and they together enjoyed over 25 years of love, travel and friends. They shared a true passion for commercial real estate as Dee being an agent and she and George founded "G & D Property Management" together. This business continues today by her son and daughter-in-law, K.T. Hughes and Mary K. Hughes Realtor. Her children dearly loved their stepfather.
She is also survived by a brother, William R. (Pauline) Wolfe of Newark, OH; sister, Marilyn Acre of Fair Oaks, TX; 2 step-sons, George R. (Gretchen) Brezina Jr. and Carlos (Erica) Brezina both of Apollo Beach, FL; many grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. She loved decorating her home and leaves behind her Bible study friends; many dear card playing friends, Nancy Mathews, Carolyn Bowling, Betty and Max Marston and longtime friend Jack Throp and Barbara Berman.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, P.O. Box 430, Newark, OH, 43058-0430.
Calling hours will be from 3-4 PM on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark, OH. Memorial Service will start at 4 PM.
