Norman L. Fulk

NEWARK: A memorial service for Norman L. Fulk, age 88, of Newark, will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 17, at the Heath Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service.

Mr. Fulk passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born January 25, 1925 in Jackson County, Ohio to the late James and Cora Bell (Brofford) Fulk.

Mr. Fulk served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Licking County Garage where he had been a dispatcher and had also been employed with the E.T. Rugg Co. and B & L Motor Freight. He was a former member of the American Legion and was a car enthusiast and enjoyed gardening and the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lois E. (Brehm) Fulk, whom he married May 28, 1956; and by three sons, Mark Gayheart of Heath, Dana (Luann) Fulk of Hanover and Dean (Sheila) Fulk of Newark; grandchildren, Matt (Alana) Gayheart, Devin (Jennifer) Fulk, Damon (Chelsea) Fulk, Jordan Fulk, John (Andrea) Gebhart, Joe Gebhart and Jessica Gebhart; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers; three sisters; daughter-in-law, Kathy Fulk; and a great-grandchild, John Carter Gebhart.

Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, February 17, at the funeral home, 1249 Hebron Road, Heath.
