Joyce Singleton Rogers
HEBRON: Joyce Singleton Rogers, age 75, of Hebron, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on March 12, 2013 after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Talking Rock, Georgia and was a graduate of Friendsville High School. Joyce was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed taking care of her family and home. Joyce married William Harold Rogers, who was a veteran of the USAF. They lived in many areas, due to the service. One of her favorite things to do was to relax with some hot tea and talk to her family. She loved the Lord and faithfully served Him and taught her children to do the same. Joyce always sang about the Lord and spent time being a witness in the nursing home ministry. She was a faithful member of Newark Baptist Temple.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her daughter, Donna.
Survived by her son, Jeff (Sandy) Rogers; daughters, Jeanne Knight and Tauna (John) McVicker; grandchildren, Josh and Ashleigh Rogers, Angelica and Josephine Smith, Brooke (Joseph) Migliorini, Wade, and Ian McVicker. She was expecting two great-grandchildren in 2013, Bethany Gail Rogers and Joseph Michael Migliorini.
The family will receive friends from 11 to 12 noon on Saturday, March 16th at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 12 noon with Rev. Wayne Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery. Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City is in charge of arrangements.
