Isolina "Izzy" Rosaria Boren

NEWARK: A Funeral Mass for Isolina "Izzy" Rosaria Boren, 82, of Newark, will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, October 23, 2013, with Rev. JCP Sullivan, Parish Priest, as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Mrs. Boren, a 1940 graduate of St. Francis de Sales High School, died at her daughter's home in Thornville on Saturday, October 19, 2013. She was born in Newark, Ohio on October 12, 1931 to the late Francesco P. and Giulia (Profeta) Rosato.
Isolina was a lifelong parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church where she also served on the Ministry of Comfort. She enjoyed playing bingo and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Isolina is survived by her children and their spouses, Russell T. Jr. and Joyce A. Boren, Janet M. and Doug P. Smith, all of Newark, and Donna J. and Brian E. Enderle of Thornville; 5 grandchildren, Anjie (Brandon) Kinnard, Nathan, Nick, and Julie Smith, and Jesse Enderle; 2 great-grandchildren, Alea and Isaiah; her brother and sister-in-law, Cardino and Pamela Rosato of Mansfield; her sisters-in-law, Mary Rosato of Powell, and Annetta Rosato of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her very special friends, Sharon Slatzer, Dottie Anderson, Ann Hoffman, and Jean Torchia.
In addition to her parents, Isolina was preceded in death by her husband, Russell T. Boren Sr., her daughter, Julia Ann Boren; her sister, Mary Stella Rosato; and her brothers, Arky and Freddy Rosato.
Friends and family may call from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, where a Vigil Service will be held at 8:30 P.M.
