Loving husband and father, William John Gould, Jr., 91, of Oriental, NC passed away on September 5, 2018, from a short illness.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Lavonne Gould and their four children, Gloria, Michael, Brian and Sheila. He is also survived by his six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Bill's bravery and love of country led him to enlist in the Navy in WWII at the age of 17, where he saw heavy action in the Pacific.
He was a past advocate of the Pamlico Players and entertained crowds with his original plays and his canny acting ability.
There will be a short memorial service followed by a gathering in the family home at 9221 Hornigold Ave. in Oriental, NC on September 15th from 1 to 4 p.m. We encourage you to say a few words or thoughts about this incredible man. Please dress in bright colors to celebrate our father and husband.
