NEW BERN - Dollie Mae White Spellman, 76, 405 Scott St., New Bern, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
She was a lifetime member of Mt. Shiloh MB Church, a consecrated Mother of the Church, Missionary Member, an Usher for 50 years and president of the Usher Board.
Her funeral will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, 2013, at Mt. Shiloh MB Church with the Rev. Wallace Grimes officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadows Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Phillip E. Spellman of the home; two sons, Victor H. Spellman and Phillip B. Spellman, both of New Bern; one daughter, Janice S. Scott of Brooklyn, N.Y.; three sisters, Hattie White and Rebecca Credle, both of New Bern, and Cherry W. Tripp of Morehead City; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends at the residence. Viewing will be at the church one hour prior to the service.

Brother- In- Law and Family,
Mrs. Dollie Mae Is in a better place right now than she's ever been before. All pain is gone, she's now at rest. Nothing troubles her anymore. It's we who feel the burden of our sadness and our grief. We have to cry, to mourn our loss before we get relief. We Pray the Love of God Enfolds You and Your Family during your difficult times and helps You heal with the passage of times.
