Deborah Barrington Obituary

NEW BERN – Deborah Marlene Barrington, 62, died Sunday, February 9, 2014 at her residence.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Shaw and husband, Curt of Charlotte; her mother, Alice French Barrington and significant other, Joe Bach, of New Bern; her brother, Leonard Barrington Jr. and wife, Vickie, of Morehead City; her sister, Penny Barrington and special friend, Tommie Womble, of New Bern; her two grandchildren, Emma Rose Shaw and Ethan Benjamin Shaw; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Theodore Barrington.

She loved her dogs and her bird, and enjoyed being with her friends.

A visitation will be held at Pollock-Best Funeral Home on Friday, February 14, 2014 from 11 to 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to Colonial Capital Humane Society, P.O. Box 326, New Bern, NC 28563.
