Ipock, Daphine Gatlin* - ERNUL  
ERNUL | Mrs. Daphine Gatlin Ipock, 86, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, July 21, 2015. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Ipock Family Cemetery off Highway 17 near Ernul, with the Rev. Jesse Cayton officiating. Mrs. Ipock, a native of Craven County, was the daughter of the late John Gardner and Bernice Powell Gatlin. She lived most of her life in the Ernul community where she farmed with her husband for many years and later worked in the cafeterias at Ernul Elementary, Vanceboro Elementary and Farm Life Schools. She was a member of Macedonia Original Free Will Baptist church, where she was active in the Ladies Auxiliary. She was also active in the Woodmen of the World Ernul Lodge. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ipock was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Ipock. She is survived by a son, Jimmy Carl Ipock and wife, Lorraine, of Ernul; daughters, Debra Kelly and husband, Ron, of New Bern and Phyllis Collins and husband, Kilroy, of Paducah, Ky; grandsons, Timmy Ipock and wife, Alisha, and Wesley Landstrom and wife, Sandy; great-grandchildren, Madyson and Zane Ipock. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Vanceboro and other times at her home.
