KINSTON | Devon Lee "Hollywood" Jenkins, 39, of 1985 Daly Waldrop Road, died Thursday, July 21, 2016, at 803 Greenbriar Road. Funeral will be noon Saturday, July 30, 2016, at River of Life Christian Center. Interment will follow in Mills Memorial Garden. Viewing will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2016, at Mills Funeral Home, Inc. He is survived by his wife, Ashley Jenkins of the home. Arrangements are by Mills Funeral Home, Inc.

Jensen, Marvin Arthur* - Cove City  
COVE CITY | Marvin "Marv" Arthur Jensen was born in Marlin, WA on February 11, 1938. He was surrounded by family and friends as he went to meet the Lord on July 27, 2016. He loved and served his country for 21 years. After retirement, he worked in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba for seventeen years. He is survived by his wife, Laurlie Baldree Jensen, his children, Debbie Schartz of Missouri, Vance Jensen of Tennessee, Scott Jensen of Kansas, Buddy and Warren Allen of New Bern, his sisters, Janice Ludwig of Idaho, JoAnn Ledgerwood of Washington, Helen Simmons of Oregon, half-sisters, Betty Grey and Virginia Rupnow. He has 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and in November, he would have become a great-great grandfather. A celebration of Life will be held at 2 pm Friday, July 29, 2016 at Clarks United Methodist Church, 106 Clarks Road, New Bern, NC. Visitation with the family will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Community Home Care & Hospice 1423 A South Glenburnie Road, New Bern, NC 28562 or Fresenius Medical Care – Craven County Dialysis, 813 Kennedy Ave., New Bern, NC 28560. A special thank you to everyone for the many visits, cards, food and prayers, and to the Fresenius Medical Care-Craven County Dialysis, Community Home Care & Hospice for their many wonderful and loving workers that helped take care of Marv. Johnson, Carolyn Ann Beasley* - HAVELOCK  
Carolyn Ann Beasley Johnson, 71, of Havelock, passed away on July 22, 2016 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 30, 2016 at the Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, 189 Howard Blvd., Newport with Rev. Crawford officiating.  Carolyn served others as a Licensed Practicing Nurse for 40 years. Before retiring, her most recent position was with the New Bern Urology Clinic with satellite offices in Havelock and Jacksonville. She gave back to the community by partnering with her husband in organizations such as Havelock Cherry Point Rotary, National Active and Retired Federal Employee Association and the Boys and Girls Club of Coastal Carolina. She will be remembered most for cooking her special German chocolate cake and the love she showed her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Carolyn is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Nathaniel "Nate" Johnson; her son, Aarron Nathaniel Johnson; her daughter, Cicely Eugenia Kracoe and husband Geoffrey; grandchildren, Kelley Nikia Johnson, Iris Ashley Chadwick, Destiney Takiema Ayaunna Johnson, D'Asia Kha-Jai Ar-Moni Johnson; and great-grandchildren, Kaleb Emmanuel Johnson Henderson, Joshua Brent Parrish Jr., and Kayleigh Janaye Chadwick. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Esnold Beasley.  In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial donations in honor of Mrs. Johnson be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Coastal Carolina, 199 Webb Blvd., Havelock, NC 28532. Jones, Gladys E.* - New Bern  
NEW BERN | Gladys E. Jones of New Bern passed away July 22, 2016 at her home. She was born in Maysville, NC, May 8, 1925 to Louie and Myrtle Eubanks. Gladys is preceded in death by her Husband, Robert H. Jones, daughter Rhonda J. Duke, formerly of El Paso, TX. She is survived by her son, Bruce G. Jones of El Paso, TX, daughter, Judith A. Jones of New Bern, and her beloved companion, Kitzie. A memorial service and inurnment will take place Friday, July 29th 2016 at 11 am at New Bern National Cemetery. Arrangements are by Pollock-Best Funerals and Cremations.

Jones, Jean Pollock* - Trenton  
Jean Pollock Jones, 75, of Trenton passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Verder Leroy Pollock and Grace Elkin Pollock. After a long and courageous battle with cancer, our beloved wife, mother and grandmother went to be with her Lord and Savior. Her family and friends were the center of her life. She leaves many positively touched by her principles, love and purpose. Her gifts to those she touched will be passed on to others. Jean enjoyed her time with her Bogue Sound Friends and Bridge Club ladies, as well as spending time cooking for her family and working in her beautiful yard. Jean was a member of Trenton United Methodist Church, a graduate of Meredith College Class of 1963 and a former teacher in the Jones County Schools. Jean is survived by her best friend and devoted husband Charles C. Jones, Jr. of the 51 years; loving sons, Charles C. Jones, III and wife Taffy and Stephen Jones; her adoring grandchildren, Mathew Brock Jones and Marion Grace Jones all of Trenton; as well as many close cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, July 11, 2016 at Trenton United Methodist Church with Pastor Peg Witt officiating. Burial will be held following the service at Trenton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Trenton United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 520 Trenton, NC 28585 or to Trenton Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 188 Trenton, NC 28585.
