Emma Marie Hill Davis

TRENTON - Emma Marie Hill Davis, 84, of 118 Davis Circle, died Sunday, March 17, 2013, at her residence.

She was a member of Morris Chapel AMEZ Church, Trenton, and served on the Missionary Board and President of Overseas Missions. She was employed as a cook at Howell's Child Care Center.

Her funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at Northwest A Conference Tabernacle 1224 Ten Mile Fork Road, Trenton with the Rev. Gwendolyn Haddock, pastor, and the Rev. Milton Sanders, officiating/eulogizing. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 22, at New Bern National Cemetery.

She is survived by two sons, John Davis, Jr. of Pollocksville and Elgin Davis Sr. of Trenton; three daughters, Wanda Sellers and Nancy Wright both of Fayetteville, and Beverly Freeman of Sedley, Va.; one brother, Wright Albert Hill of Pollocksville; and one sister, Georgie Lovick of New Bern; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the residence. Viewing hours at Oscar's Mortuary are Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and condolences are received at oscarsmortuary.com.
