Floyd S. Cuthrell Sr.

CHOCOWINITY - Floyd Shelton Cuthrell Sr., 76, of 299 E. Barr Road, died Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, at Vidant Beaufort Hospital in Washington, N.C.

His funeral will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington officiated by the Rev. David Linton and the Rev. LeRoy Cutler. Burial will follow in Yeatesville Cemetery.

He was a 1957 graduate of Pantego High School and was a retired mechanic, having worked at PCS for 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Keech Cuthrell; his children, Lee Cuthrell and Shelton Cuthrell Jr., both of Aurora, Van Cuthrell of Chocowinity, Melody Cuthrell Dail of Snow Hill, and Jo Ann Cuthrell Smith of Chocowinity; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, James Allan Cuthrell of Pinetown and George Cuthrell of Washington, N.C., and three sisters, Mildred Young of Pinetown, Doris Stokesberry of Ponzer and Pam Burbage of Pinetown.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.
