Samuel David Hardy

VANCEBORO - Samuel David Hardy, 48, of 694 Clark Road, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at his residence.

He graduated from West Craven High School in 1982. He was a member of St. Peter FWB Church in Vanceboro where he served as a member of the Young Adult Choir and the Male Chorus. He was employed with Weyerhaeuser of Ayden.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Tara S. Hardy of the home; one daughter, Keshia Pierce of Greenville; two sons, Bryan Hardy of Winston Salem and Justin Hardy of Greenville; two sisters, Shelia Williams of Raleigh and Samaria Trimble of Washington, N.C.; two brothers, Antonio Hardy of Grifton and Stefan Harris of Grayson, Ga.

His funeral will be held at noon Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at Mitchell's Funeral Home, 1000 Howell St. in Greenville. Burial will follow in Clark Cemetery in Vanceboro. There will be a "walk-thru" viewing for the public from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at the funeral home chapel.
