HAMPTON, Va. - Alice Mae Dixon Hooks, 77, of 2109 Shell Road, died Monday, July 23, 2012. Her funeral will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at the New Saint John Church, Vanceboro Burial will follow in the church cemetery
She was born in Beaufort County and was a member and usher of the church.
She is survived by three sons, Tony Dixon of Grifton, Rodney Dixon and Ronnie Hooks both of Newport News, Va.; two daughters, Phyllis Dixon of Bronx, N.Y. and Donnie Hooks of Columbia, S.C.; two brothers, Matthew Dixon of Greenville and Melvin Dixon of Winterville; three sisters, Fannie Mae Dixon and Julia Mae Thornton, both of Greenville, and Eunice Mae Adams of Vanceboro; eleven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at the funeral home.
