Ann Marslender Herring, 88, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2018 in Greensboro, N.C. She was born on November 28, 1929 in Washington N.C.
Ann resided in New Bern for most of her life. For many years, Ann worked as the office manager for the CPA firm of McGladrey Pullen. No matter where she lived, Ann radiated joy and warmth.
Ann was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Patrick Merritt Herring, Jr.; her sisters, Arlene Whitley and Linda Schrock; and a brother, Bill Marslender. Ann is survived by three sons, Patrick Merritt Herring III and wife, (Amy), of Knotts Island, NC; Greg Herring and wife, (Michelle), of Greensboro, NC; Paul Herring and wife, (Jackie), of Rose Hill, NC; six grandchildren, Patrick Herring, IV (Leah), Stephanie Herring (Bryan Ferrick), Stacy Herring, Susanne Herring, Ann Marie Tullock (Justin), and Megan Greer; four great-grandchildren.
